Scott Boomer
About the Speaker
Scott Boomer is a wildlife biologist in the Branch of Assessment and Decision Support within the USFWS's Division of Migratory Bird Management. Scott's primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of decision frameworks that support migratory game bird management. For the past 15 years, he has been the project leader for the USFWS's Adaptive Harvest Management program and currently serves as the coordinator of the Harvest Management Working Group. Scott's research activities focus on the application of estimation, modeling, and optimization methods to adaptive approaches to decision-making in the face of uncertainty. Scott earned a B.S., M.S., and Ph. D. in wildlife science from Cornell University.
