Research Interests

My research revolves around aquatic habitat restoration and native fish conservation; in particular, I am interested in integrating scientific research and management goals with stakeholder engagement to improve restoration outcomes. At UMass-Amherst, I am currently studying the effects of dam removal on water quality, macroinvertebrates, and fishes. These results, combined with other studies, will be used to develop a decision-making framework for prioritizing dam removal projects to improve climate resiliency.
