Research Interests
My research is working towards understanding the mechanisms that controls and promotes the production and consumption of N2O gas in subsurface shale environments. I am also very passionate about promoting diversity in the geosciences and more generally in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) through outreach and mentorship.
Project
Jordan is currently working to improve NE CASC diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The objectives of his project include the following:
- Establish partnerships with minority-serving institutions
- Provide resources to undergraduate and graduates students (internships, graduate school, funding)
- Workshops with NE CASC Fellows to discuss mentorship, careers in STEM, and networking opportunities
- Build relationships with underrepresented students in STEM
