Research Interests

The focus of my research was to examine the productivity under lake ice and how changing climate impacts winter lake ecology.  To do this I looked at phytoplankton slides dating back 30 years to examine seasonal shifts in community structures. I also looked at how light attenuation effects productivity under the ice through a snow manipulation experiment.
