Research Interests
Emily is interested in the intersection of environmental engineering and public health. She is working to apply traditional methods for engineering modeling to answer public health questions, particularly in rural environments. Currently she is looking at the distribution of human-affecting pathogens stored in soils across the contiguous United States and how that distribution is related to mobilization risks and vulnerable populations.
