Daniel Hocking

Overview

Daniel Hocking is a statistician with the National Marine Fisheries Service at NOAA.

Research

Daniel's research involved modeling the abundance and distribution of fish and salamanders in headwater streams in response to land-use and climate change. These taxa have complex ecological interactions that are likely to be affected by changes in temperature and precipitation patterns. The results of this work are being used in a structured decision making process with stakeholders to improve landscape conservation decisions.
